Overview 

The Food Safety Net Ireland privacy policy was developed in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 1998 to 2003.  The GDPR, formally Regulation (EU) 2016/679), is a European (EU) regulation.

This Privacy Policy is a public declaration of how FSNI applies the data protection principles to data processed on the website. Is fundamentally a document for internal reference. 

The aim is to be clear, concise and transparent about what data we collect about you and how we use it. Policy covers

Food Safety Net Ireland is a business that was set up to provide the following services:

  • A full suites of training programs for any person working in the food industry or any individual.
  • Offering Health and Safety training programmes to any individual or business.

FSNI website gathers personal data through our website, when you contact us by mail and phone.

Will my data be given to anyone else?

The security of your data is a priority at Food Safety Net Ireland and we are committed to respecting your privacy rights.  We will handle your data fairly and legally at all times. 

This information is not shared with another third party or person. It will be kept only for one or more specified, explicit and lawful purposes and will be used and disclosed only in ways compatible with these purposes.
It will be kept safe and secure. 

How long we hold on to your data for? 

We will generally retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected unless we need to retain it for legal purposes or in accordance with commercial practice and regulatory requirements. Generally, where there is no legal requirement, we retain all physical and electronic records for a period of 2 years after your last contact with us.

The FSNI website is hosted in a secure environment.  Internally, only nominated company staff with a business need have access to your personal data to provide you with the service you requested. A copy of his/her personal data to than individual is made available on request.
