Manual Handling Training

Manual Handling is defined as” transporting or supporting of a load (including the lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof) by hand or bodily force“.

“35% of work-related accidents are the result of injury and damage to a disc”.

The Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Regulation 2007, Manual Handling of Loadsrequires staff who are engaged in manual handling to receive training in the safe manual handling of loads.

This programme will provide participants the knowledge and skill necessary to lift and handle loads in a safe manner, providing an understanding of good work practices and the importance of their own fitness and health.

Assessment: Written exam and a practical assessment of safe manual handling

Certification:  Certification in Manual Handling Techniques
