Food businesses must be registered with their local Environmental Health Officer and are required by Irish law to comply with EU Food Hygiene Regulations.
The Irish Standard – I.S. 340:2007: Hygiene in the Catering Sector certified by the NASI, is the standard that governs and provides guidance on how to achieve compliance with EU Regulation 852 Hygiene of Foodstuffs in the Catering Hospitality Industry.
This includes the implementation of Food Safety Management Systems, covering the Prerequisite Program, Operational Procedures and all other relevant requirements.
